LISTEN TO EXCERPT
When a city is referred to
as ‘the Crown Jewel of the South’, you can be sure it
has many interesting facets worth discovering. Visiting
Atlanta is a wonderful voyage of discovery. The more you
see, the more you’ll find there is to see. The more you
gaze, the harder it is to tear your eyes away. What
started as a railroad terminal and was unimaginatively
called just ‘Terminus,’ was renamed Marthasville and
then, in 1845, was called Atlanta, a feminine version of
Atlantic, as in the ocean. And it stuck, probably
because it was a comfortable fit. Because Atlanta has a
feminine quality all its own. And its sparkling
attractions hide a heart that beats to the tune of
progress – in every field, on every level.
