LISTEN TO EXCERPT

San Francisco. The very name conjures up glamour, romance, and intrigue. It is a city with a long and colorful history. There was a time was when three powerful nations – Spain, England and Russia, wanted control of San Francisco because it was the key to dominion over the Pacific Coast. Spain won control over the city and imparted a sense of gallantry and pageantry to San Francisco. From that time way back in the 18th century, San Francisco has played an important part in American politics.
